Dear Woman Within Community,
It is with great pride that I report on the annual meeting of Women of Wisconsin (WOW). Our formation began just over a year ago with the intention of creating and bridging a strong community of women.
A formal board was elected at WOW’s annual meeting on Sunday. I am pleased to announce the following filled positions:
President- Dawn Clark 1 yr term Vice Pres.- Sonja Ortman 2 yr term
Secretary- Jan Noffke 1 yr term Treasurer- Pam Kehoe 2 yr term
Current Committee positions include: Co-coordinators for Celebrations- Pam Kehoe and Sue Keeley; E-circle coordinator and liaison with Women In Circle- Cristin Kaiser; Scholarship coordinator- Jan Noffke
We thank the women who attended the annual meeting and those who support us from afar. We have opportunities for more women to step up. Knowing your time is precious, and one more commitment might seem too much for you, we offer various roles requiring 2-5 hours a week to one time opportunities to volunteer.
We need women willing to open their home or other space to host open e- circles, social events, and personal work opportunities to continue to connect women. In these times, we are finding women are craving authentic connection. The above examples are one-time commitments.
We also envision women stepping into the following committee positions requiring only a few hours a week or month- Celebration, Community Contact, New Graduate Contact, and Fundraiser. Go to www.womenofwi.org and email us to say yes to building community!
The board’s vision for continued growth includes supporting the following events to educate and build community:
· Train E-circle guides to support e-circles forming around the state
· Hold E-circle trainings for women wanting to be in an e-circle
· Support a Community Gathering/Honoring July 19 at Still Point Zen Center, Random Lake, WI- all are welcome, bring your family!
· Host open e-circles throughout the state
· Host the Woman Within Training Celebration in November
· Fundraise for scholarships
Please continue to check our website for the most up to date information and registration.
Lastly, look at what the interim board has accomplished in a very short period of time:
- filed federal 501.c.3 not for profit status & Wisconsin use/sales tax exemption status
- held a successful soup dinner scholarship fundraiser (yum, yum!)
- holds 9 open e-circles around the state
- created our website www.womenofwi.org
- posts events on WIC and Midwest list serves
- created a facebook group name Women of WI on www.facebook.com
- carries an inventory of merchandise for sale that directly supports scholarship funding, check out www.womenofwi.org for items
- provided 3 $100 scholarships for the May WWT weekend in Delavan, WI
- co-hosted the May celebration for WWT graduates with Women In Circle

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all for supporting our solid foundation!
Respectfully submitted by,
Jan Noffke
